Sheinbaum inaugura primera fase de remodelación del AICM

La presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum inauguró la primera fase de remodelación del Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México este sábado, con una inversión de 6 mil 500 millones de pesos.

La mandataria mexicana destacó que la inversión es autogenerada por el aeropuerto y no proviene de presupuesto público. Más de 2 mil personas trabajaron desde abril de 2025 en la intervención de más de 394 mil metros cuadrados en las terminales 1 y 2.

El director general Juan José Padilla explicó que se ampliaron líneas de inspección y filtros migratorios automáticos. Los tiempos de espera en seguridad se redujeron a entre 3 y 4 minutos, mientras que en migración bajaron a 9 minutos.

Sheinbaum señaló que el objetivo es mejorar el servicio para los mexicanos y no solo para el Mundial de Futbol 2026. El AICM espera atender a 50 millones de pasajeros durante el evento.
