CAF Asset Management otorga crédito de $300.000 millones al aeropuerto de Cartagena

CAF Asset Management Corp., mediante su Fondo de Deuda Senior para Infraestructura CAF-AM Ashmore II, otorgó un crédito de $300.000 millones para modernizar y ampliar el Aeropuerto Internacional Rafael Núñez en Cartagena. Este financiamiento forma parte de un total de $887.000 millones junto a otros bancos y fondos. Los recursos renovarán más de 25.000 metros cuadrados en los próximos cinco años y medio.

El Fondo de Deuda Senior para Infraestructura CAF-AM Ashmore II proporcionó el préstamo para la modernización y ampliación de la terminal aérea. Este crédito se suma a contribuciones de bancos Davivienda e Itaú Colombia, así como del Fondo de Capital Privado Bonus-Compartimento Infraestructura II, alcanzando un financiamiento total de $887.000 millones.

Los fondos se destinarán a renovar más de 25.000 metros cuadrados del aeropuerto en un plazo de cinco años y medio, mejorando la experiencia de los pasajeros. El proyecto busca atender la creciente demanda de viajes, fortalecer exportaciones y mejorar la conectividad del Caribe.

“Este proyecto representa un hito para Colombia, ya que es la primera iniciativa privada aeroportuaria bajo el programa de infraestructura 5G que utiliza el modelo de Asociación Público-Privada. La infraestructura bien concebida representa un gran aporte al desarrollo. Este cierre financiero generará más empleo, turismo inclusivo, competitividad y oportunidades para la juventud caribeña”, dijo Sergio Díaz-Granados, presidente ejecutivo de CAF.

Termotécnica Coindustrial, adjudicataria en 2023, ejecutará las obras.
