Yli 170 tammea siirrettiin Ultunassa syksyllä 2025 suunnitellun raitiovaunulinjan tieltä. Ruotsin maataloustieteellisen yliopiston tutkijat esittelevät nyt ensimmäiset tulokset yli puolen vuoden ajalta.

Siirto toteutettiin marraskuussa 2025, ja sen kustannukset olivat hieman yli 10 miljoonaa kruunua. Hanke valittiin puiden kaatamisen ja uusien istuttamisen sijaan.

Kaksitoista tammista varustettiin mittalaitteilla, jotka rekisteröivät rungon kasvua, latvuston valonottoa sekä lämpötilaa ja ilmankosteutta. Mittaukset jatkuvat kevään ja kesän aikana.
