Första resultaten från flyttade ekar i Ultuna

Över 170 ekar flyttades i Ultuna hösten 2025 för att ge plats åt den planerade spårvägen. Nu presenterar forskare vid Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet de första resultaten efter drygt ett halvår.

Flytten genomfördes i november 2025 till en kostnad av drygt 10 miljoner kronor. Projektet valdes framför att fälla träden och plantera nya.

Tolv av ekarna utrustades med mätinstrument som registrerar stamväxt, ljusupptagning i kronan samt temperatur och luftfuktighet. Mätningarna pågår under våren och sommaren.

Forskaren Petter Åkerblom kommenterar trädens framtid i ett inslag från SVT.
