Moon Studios has delayed the Xbox version of its action RPG No Rest for the Wicked to allow more time for optimization on the Xbox Series S.
The studio announced the decision after revealing during Sony’s State of Play that the game will launch on PlayStation 5 in October. CEO Thomas Mahler said on June 2 that the Series S hardware constraints are the main reason for the delay. Mahler explained that the console has only 8 gigs of memory, which creates issues when streaming large amounts of data. He stated there is no exclusivity deal and that the team wants to deliver a quality port rather than a rushed one. The Xbox version will follow after further work that will also cover the Switch 2. Other developers have voiced similar frustrations with the Series S parity requirements in recent months.
