Kantor Lapangan FBI Atlanta bersama otoritas Indonesia membongkar operasi phishing global yang canggih. Jaringan ini mencuri ribuan kredensial akun korban dan mencoba penipuan lebih dari 20 juta dolar AS atau Rp 342 miliar. Ini merupakan investigasi siber gabungan pertama sejenis.

Kantor Lapangan FBI Atlanta mengumumkan pada Senin (13/4/2026) bahwa mereka telah menutup operasi kejahatan siber di Indonesia bekerja sama dengan aparat penegak hukum setempat.

Operasi ini menggunakan alat phishing bernama "kit W3LL" untuk membuat halaman login palsu yang mirip situs tepercaya. Korban yang memasukkan data login tanpa sadar menyerahkan akses akun mereka kepada penjahat siber.

Menurut pengumuman resmi FBI, jaringan tersebut berhasil mencuri ribuan kredensial akun dan memicu upaya penipuan senilai lebih dari 20 juta dolar AS. CBS News melaporkan bahwa penyidik federal di Atlanta menargetkan situs palsu yang memicu penipuan jutaan dolar.
