1988년 항저우에서 태어난 다이량은 우주론과 천체물리학을 전공했다. 그는 베이징대학교에서 수학한 뒤 미국 존스홉킨스대학교로 건너가 이론 우주론 박사 학위를 받았다. 2021년에는 물리학 분야에서 슬론 연구 펠로우십을 수상했다. 이 펠로우십은 초기 경력 연구자들을 지원하기 위해 1955년 알프레드 슬론 전 제너럴 모터스 최고경영자가 설립한 것이다. 다이량은 최근 상하이 푸단대학교 교수로 부임하여 푸단 천문학 및 천체물리학 센터에 합류했다.
