Fitac warns of Dian platform failures affecting foreign trade

The Colombian Federation of Logistics Agents in International Trade (Fitac) has warned of persistent failures in the platforms of the National Tax and Customs Directorate (Dian) disrupting foreign trade operations in Colombia. The issues began on December 27 after maintenance and continue despite the Dian's announcement of normalization on January 2, 2026.

Fitac reported intermittences, blockages, and delays in the Dian's systems since late December. According to the federation, these failures exceed routine issues and disrupt the logistical flow of foreign trade. Miguel Ángel Espinosa, Fitac's president, urged the Dian to resolve the crisis affecting imports.

The federation documented the problems and notified the agency with evidence of their impact on processes. The group reiterated its role as intermediary with the Dian to push for general measures and expressed confidence in institutional decisions to restore smooth Colombian foreign trade operations.
