On Thursday, December 4, 2025, late in the morning, the National Police's Internal Affairs brigade arrested Luis F., an inspector and head of the Narcotics Group in Valladolid. The detention is part of an anti-drug trafficking operation, overseen by Valladolid's Court of Instruction No. 3 and under secrecy. Investigation sources indicate the detainee allegedly kept portions of seized drug hauls from police operations, raising suspicions due to his high standard of living, including luxury cars.
Agents searched Luis F.'s home in Arroyo de la Encomienda, in the Las Lomas area of La Flecha, and sealed lockers at Valladolid's Delicias Police Station. Additional sites in the city and its outskirts were inspected. So far, Luis F. is the only police officer arrested, though there are at least four other detentions, some of Dominican origin and not involving security forces. Internal Affairs is interviewing other officers as witnesses.
Luis F. is the partner of Marta Sanz, spokesperson for the Partido Popular in Arroyo de la Encomienda Town Council and former secretary of the Cortes of Castilla y León with Ciudadanos from 2019 to 2022. He also coordinated security for Real Valladolid matches at the José Zorrilla stadium. Valladolid's Government Subdelegate, Jacinto Canales, confirmed the broad operation against narcotic substances, which includes five reports, but avoided specifics: "I don't know anything more officially, nor do I want to until the operation concludes".
This arrest echoes a similar case in November 2024, when Madrid's UDEF chief was detained for money laundering, with 19 million euros found in his home. The Government Subdelegation acknowledged the action but did not specify those involved.
