The Michelin Guide Spain 2026 Gala, held in Málaga, has announced 30 new distinctions for Spanish restaurants. Among them, 25 establishments debut with their first star, while five veterans advance. The total number of recognized venues reaches 306.
The 2026 edition of the Michelin Guide has added 30 new stars to the Spanish gastronomic landscape, announced at the gala in Málaga on November 25, 2025. The event took place at the innovative SOHRLIN Andalucía space—backed by Antonio Banderas and Domingo Merlín—with Jesús Vázquez as master of ceremonies and Masi Rodríguez on the red carpet, starting at 18:30.
Among the 25 newcomers, the Granada-based Faralá and Madrid's Èter earn their first star. Five veteran restaurants advanced: Albert Adrià's Enigma and Ramón Freixa, who regains his double star at the new Atelier. The 16 three-star venues remain at the top.
The guide now totals 306 establishments: 16 with three stars, 37 with two, and 253 with one. 94% of triple-starred restaurants feature creative dishes, a trend also leading in 70% of double-starred ones. Traditional gastronomy thrives in the 204 Bib Gourmand selections, rewarding good value.
On pricing, only seven starred restaurants cost under 60 euros per person; all three-star ones exceed 100. The debutant Seville spot Ochando is the most affordable, with menus below 35 euros. Many first-timers came from prior Bib Gourmand or recommendations.
The gala featured a contest: viewers answered five questions via QR code to win gastronomic experiences worth up to 250 euros at Michelin restaurants, available until November 30.
