Arzola plantea pausar traspasos de colegios a los SLEP

La ministra de Educación, María Paz Arzola, instaló la idea de evaluar una pausa en el traspaso de colegios municipales a los Servicios Locales de Educación Pública. La propuesta busca un sistema mixto y requiere pasar por el Congreso.

La ministra señaló en TVN que el Ministerio de Educación trabaja en una propuesta que no será única para todos los casos. El objetivo es permitir que algunas comunas mantengan la administración de sus escuelas si cumplen ciertos requisitos.

Actualmente, 34 SLEP esperan recibir colegios de 175 comunas entre 2027 y 2029. Arzola mencionó que se busca evaluar medidas para mejorar el proceso y posiblemente postergar traspasos en algunos municipios.

Alcaldes como Sebastián Sichel de Ñuñoa pidieron actuar con urgencia para suspender el traspaso, mientras que Rodrigo Wainraight de Puerto Montt se declaró a favor de avanzar. Otros ediles valoraron la revisión pero destacaron la necesidad de recursos y flexibilidad.
