Acreedores aprueban plan de reestructuración de deuda para JoongAng Ilbo

JoongAng Ilbo Co., un importante editor de periódicos de Corea del Sur, ha obtenido la aprobación para un programa de reestructuración de deuda dirigido por sus acreedores.

JoongAng Ilbo solicitó el programa el 19 de junio tras no poder reembolsar anticipadamente 22 000 millones de wones en efectos comerciales. El principal acreedor, Hana Bank, y otros prestamistas aprobaron el plan tras realizar las consultas pertinentes.

La aprobación suspende las gestiones de cobro de deudas durante tres meses. La empresa elaborará un plan de normalización tras la diligencia debida realizada por una firma contable.

Las medidas de autosalvamento incluyen recortes drásticos de costos, venta de activos y la venta de la participación mayoritaria. JoongAng Holdings posee el 64,7 por ciento de JoongAng Ilbo.
