Mandos de la Guardia Civil especializados en narcotráfico han rechazado la versión del ministro del Interior Fernando Grande-Marlaska sobre la muerte de dos agentes en el mar entre Huelva y Cádiz. Afirman que la colisión entre las patrulleras no fue accidental sino provocada por una maniobra estudiada de la lancha de los traficantes.

Los mandos critican el equipamiento de las patrulleras del Servicio Marítimo. Consideran que las embarcaciones son demasiado pesadas y poco ágiles para enfrentar las lanchas rápidas de los traficantes, y señalan que no se tuvieron en cuenta las opiniones de los agentes al diseñarlas.
