Corte de Apelaciones mantiene medidas cautelares contra tripulantes del Cobra

La Corte de Apelaciones de Concepción confirmó las medidas cautelares para tres tripulantes del pesquero Cobra, formalizados por cuasidelito de homicidio en la muerte de siete pescadores de la lancha Bruma. El tribunal rechazó peticiones para modificar las restricciones. A la empresa Blumar se le mantuvo sin medidas cautelares.

La Corte de Apelaciones de Concepción decidió este martes mantener las medidas cautelares impuestas a Roberto Mansilla, Luis Macaya y Jaime Sandoval, tripulantes del pesquero industrial Cobra. Estos fueron formalizados por siete cuasidelitos de homicidio derivados de infracciones al reglamento, en conexión con el fallecimiento de pescadores artesanales de la lancha Bruma.

Las restricciones incluyen arraigo nacional, firma quincenal y prohibición de comunicación entre los imputados. El tribunal de alzada estimó que estas son suficientes para garantizar su participación en el proceso judicial, rechazando solicitudes de los abogados para rebajarlas o aumentarlas.

Respecto a Blumar, la persona jurídica propietaria del Cobra, se denegó la petición de la Fiscalía para designar un interventor. El abogado defensor Alejandro Espinoza celebró la decisión: “ha quedado demostrado que las medidas adoptadas por la empresa son adecuadas y esta resolución además confirma el fallo del juez de garantía que rechazó imponer medidas cautelares contra la compañía solicitadas por el Ministerio Público”.
