Procuraduría suspende provisionalmente al interventor de Asmet Salud EPS

La Procuraduría General de la Nación suspendió por tres meses al agente especial interventor de Asmet Salud EPS, Lain Eduardo López Martínez, por presunto deterioro en la prestación de servicios de salud. La Procuraduría General de la Nación impuso una suspensión provisional de tres meses a Lain Eduardo López Martínez, actual agente especial interventor de Asmet Salud EPS S.A.S., debido al presunto deterioro en la prestación del servicio de salud a sus usuarios. Esta medida fue tomada por la delegada para la Vigilancia Administrativa, que también abrió investigaciones disciplinarias contra exagentes interventores desde la vigencia 2023: Luis Carlos Gómez Núñez, Rafael Joaquín Manjarrés González, Javier Ignacio Cormane Fandiño, Gloria Libia Polanía Aguillón y Raúl Andrés Munévar. Se busca esclarecer si estos funcionarios incumplieron obligaciones durante la intervención forzosa ordenada por la Superintendencia Nacional de Salud. Entre los hallazgos de visitas preventivas destacan el aumento de peticiones, quejas, reclamaciones y sugerencias (PQRS), acciones de tutelas e incidentes de desacato. Además, se investiga el deterioro financiero de la EPS, con incrementos en siniestralidad, contratación irregular, pasivos, y disminución en patrimonio, activos y condiciones tecnocientíficas y administrativas. La entidad atiende a 1.585.721 afiliados, 96% del régimen subsidiado, quienes enfrentaron presuntamente una atención precaria e ineficiente. El ente de control ordenó pruebas para aclarar estos hechos.
