The revival draws from the original tiki bar created by Donn Beach in 1930s Hollywood. Beach opened Don the Beachcomber after traveling in the South Seas and Caribbean, serving rum-based drinks in immersive settings that attracted stars like Charlie Chaplin and Marlene Dietrich.
