Un groupe de joueurs et de militants s'est rassemblé devant le siège d'Electronic Arts à Redwood City le 11 mai pour exprimer son opposition aux récents licenciements de l'entreprise, aux microtransactions et à un projet d'acquisition de 55 milliards de dollars par l'Arabie saoudite.

La manifestation, organisée par The Players Alliance et diffusée en direct sur Twitch par SlayerKase, mettait en avant une pétition de plus de 15 mètres signée par plus de 70 000 personnes. Les participants brandissaient des pancartes sur lesquelles on pouvait lire « les développeurs et les joueurs avant les investisseurs » et « pas de DLC pour la cupidité des entreprises », ainsi que des silhouettes du PDG d'EA, Andrew Wilson, de Jared Kushner et du Premier ministre saoudien Mohammed ben Salmane représentés en tant que boss de jeux vidéo.
