Paralives s'est vendu à plus de 250 000 exemplaires en moins de huit heures après son lancement en accès anticipé sur Steam cette semaine. Le développeur principal Alex Massé a déclaré lors d'une session AMA sur Reddit que le studio prévoyait uniquement des mises à jour gratuites à l'avenir, même après la fin de l'accès anticipé. Massé a précisé que cette décision découlait du souhait d'éviter de contraindre les joueurs à acheter du contenu supplémentaire.
