Un jury a reconnu Kanye West, désormais connu sous le nom de Ye, et ses entreprises coupables d'avoir échantillonné une démo inédite dans une première version de son morceau Hurricane.

Le verdict a été rendu mardi après-midi dans une affaire portée par Artists Revenue Advocates au nom de quatre musiciens qui avaient créé l'instrumental intitulé MSD PT2 en mars 2018. Ye a été tenu personnellement responsable à hauteur de 176 153 dollars, et Yeezy LLC doit s'acquitter de la même somme. Ses sociétés de vente au détail, Yeezy Supply et Mascotte Holdings, ont été condamnées à verser respectivement 41 625 dollars et 44 627 dollars.
