4月中旬に開催された「2026年成都防衛技術産業博覧会」では、潜水艦の魚雷発射管から展開可能な自律型水中航走体（AUV）が展示された。これらの機体は高精度の深海調査や海底マッピングを行うことができ、大型のモデルは水深3,000メートルまで到達可能である。
国営放送CCTVによると、これらの機体には水中目標を探知・無力化するためのモジュールを装着でき、機雷などの脅威を除去するための兵装モジュールも搭載可能だという。同放送は「これは本質的に独自の『脳』を持つ自律型水中ロボットであり、外部のソフトウェア支援や人間の随行を一切必要としない」と報じている。
