香港の元立法会議員、尹兆堅（アンドリュー・ワン）氏が、国家安全維持法違反の罪で言い渡されていた4年8カ月の刑期を終え、スタンレー刑務所から釈放された。
尹兆堅氏は土曜日の朝、警察が手配したとみられる7人乗りの車両でスタンレー刑務所を後にした。
現在は解党している民主党所属だった同氏は、香港国家安全維持法の下で行われた非公式の立法会予備選挙に関与したとして有罪判決を受けていた。
釈放後、同氏は自身のSNSに笑顔の写真を投稿し、「今、家族や友人たちと朝食をとっています。待ちに待った再会です」とつづった。
また、全ての刑期を終えたとし、人生の新たな章を始めることを楽しみにしていると付け加えた。
