日本の外相、イランに米との対立で最大限の柔軟性を求める

日本の外務大臣の茂木敏充氏は5月2日、イラン外相のアッバス・アラグチ氏と電話会談し、ホルムズ海峡封鎖をめぐる米イラン対立でイランに「最大限の柔軟性」を示すよう求めた。茂木氏は停戦維持と早期の合意を強く期待すると述べた。日本外務省が明らかにした。

茂木敏填氏はケニア訪問中の5月2日、イラン外相アッバス・アラグチ氏と20分間の電話会談を行った。この会談はテヘランの要請によるもので、アラグチ氏は米イラン間のやり取りや見通しについて茂木氏に説明した。

茂木氏は「現行の停戦が維持されることへの強い期待」を表明し、米イラン協議の早期再開と最終合意を望むと述べた。また、ホルムズ海峡の自由で安全な通行の重要性を強調し、日本関連船舶の最近の通過後に残る船舶の迅速な通過を求めた。

両外相は緊密な意思疎通の継続で合意した。両氏は以前4月15日にも電話会談を実施している。4月初旬からのワシントンとテヘランの停戦は続いているが、交渉の進展はなく、ホルムズ海峡の実効的な閉鎖による世界的な石油供給混乱が持続している。
