Domestic coffee consumption in Brazil rose 1.1 percent from November 2023 to October 2024, reaching nearly 22 million bags, according to the Brazilian Coffee Industry Association. Specialty coffee grew 15 percent in 2025 and now represents 5 to 10 percent of the total market by volume, with major cities such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte leading the shift toward higher-quality options.
