지난 목요일 의정부에 위치한 경기도이민통합지원센터에서 열린 브리핑에서 관계자들은 조사 계획을 밝혔다. 지난해 제정된 난민 인권 보호 조례에 따라 추진되는 이번 조사는 정량 설문 130명과 정성 면접 38명을 대상으로 한다.
7월 설계와 훈련을 거쳐 8~9월 현장 조사가 진행되며 10월 최종 보고서가 나올 예정이다. 김성환 외국인사회지원과장은 "난민이 체계적 빈곤이나 고립에 빠지지 않게 하는 것이 중요하다"고 말했다.
경기도는 지난달 전국 첫 난민정책자문위원회를 설치했다. 이번 조사는 난민의 법적 지위를 고려한 맞춤형 정책 수립을 목표로 한다.
