Fabrício Gomes de Santana, a PM cabo stationed at the Area 10 Police Command in Santo Amaro, southern São Paulo, was on vacation when he vanished. On the night of Wednesday, January 7, 2026, he was drinking in his father-in-law's garage on Avenida dos Funcionários Públicos in Jardim Horizonte Azul with Mirys Sthefanny Bezerra Siqueira, a trans woman, and Isaque Duarte da Silva. Riclecio Cerqueira de Moraes joined after giving Isaque a ride.
According to Isaque's police statement, Fabrício and Riclecio argued over an arm-wrestling bet. Riclecio admitted fault and left on his motorcycle but denies the fight in his testimony, claiming he left around 3 a.m. and only learned Fabrício was a PM later. He used drugs with Isaque and Mirys, but the cabo drank only alcohol.
On Thursday morning, January 8, Fabrício and Isaque headed to a bakery when approached by Gleison Humberto Santos Dias, known as 'Gato Preto,' a motoboy in a Gol 'bola.' He asked about the fight with Riclecio, who had complained at his house. Nervous, Fabrício insisted on going to a 'biqueira' at the street's end to talk, despite Isaque's attempts to dissuade him.
At the spot, six men received them. Separated, suspects took two revolvers from Fabrício and questioned Isaque about the fight. A gray-haired man interrogated him for two hours, and one present said the PM would be killed. Isaque was released without seeing Fabrício again, and the car was gone.
On the afternoon of January 8, Fabrício's Ford Ka was found burned on Rua Richard Arnold Beck in Itapecerica da Serra. Cameras caught the vehicle followed by Gleison's gray Corsa, who denies involvement, saying he was escorting Fabio to sell the car. Three suspects were arrested; an informal statement indicates the body was left in woods by the Guarapiranga reservoir.
That morning, Fabrício messaged his brother about the disagreement with someone linked to drug trafficking, who threatened to expose his PM status. The brother reported the disappearance. A judicial document describes a 'crime tribunal' that decided on the cabo's death after he was summoned to the favela.
On Saturday, January 10, COE divers searched the Guarapiranga reservoir, supported by Rota, Shock Battalion, and others. 'Guarapiranga's waters are very murky, and vegetation hinders the searches,' said commander Valmor Racorti. The Public Security Secretariat states: 'Investigations continue to locate the military police officer and clarify the facts. The PM is also following the case and assisting in the search for the agent.'
