Porsche lägger ner sin avdelning för prestanda-elcyklar

Porsche stänger ner sitt dotterbolag för elcyklar efter nästan fyra års verksamhet. Beslutet fattas i takt med att den tyska biltillverkaren fokuserar om på sin kärnverksamhet mitt i förändrade marknadsförhållanden.

Porsche meddelade att de kommer att stänga Porsche eBike Performance GmbH, som lanserades i augusti 2022 för att utveckla högpresterande drivsystem för elcyklar. Företaget planerar att stänga fabriker i Ottobrunn i Tyskland och Zagreb i Kroatien, vilket berör cirka 350 anställda. Flera elcykelmodeller producerades, däribland Porsche eBike Sport, som nådde sin femte generation med ett startpris på 10 920 dollar, samt terrängcykeln Porsche eBike Cross.
