Porsche met fin à sa division de vélos électriques haute performance

Porsche ferme sa filiale spécialisée dans les vélos électriques après près de quatre ans d'activité. Cette décision intervient alors que le constructeur allemand recentre ses priorités sur son cœur de métier dans un contexte de marché en pleine mutation.

Porsche a annoncé la fermeture de Porsche eBike Performance GmbH, entité lancée en août 2022 pour développer des systèmes de motorisation pour vélos électriques de haute performance. L'entreprise prévoit de fermer ses sites d'Ottobrunn, en Allemagne, et de Zagreb, en Croatie, une mesure qui touchera environ 350 employés. Plusieurs modèles avaient été produits, notamment le Porsche eBike Sport, dont la cinquième génération était commercialisée à partir de 10 920 dollars, ainsi que le modèle tout-terrain Porsche eBike Cross.
