Mkaguzi Mkuu wa Hesabu za Serikali Nancy Gathungu amefichua kuwa mamia ya wafanyakazi wastaafu katika kaunti nane wanaendelea kupokea mishahara kinyume cha sheria.

Ukaguzi wa mwaka wa kifedha uliomalizika Juni 30, 2025, ulibaini kuwa wafanyakazi hao walifikia umri wa kustaafu wa miaka 60 lakini walibaki kwenye orodha ya malipo.

Kaunti zilizoathirika ni Bomet, Garissa, Isiolo, Samburu, Nyeri, Migori, Nyamira na Embu. Katika Bomet, wafanyakazi 27 walilipwa Sh3 milioni. Huko Isiolo, wafanyakazi 33 na washauri wanne walipokea jumla ya Sh3.7 milioni mwezi Juni 2025.
