Der Nationale Wahlrat (CNE) hat 25.062 Personen für die Überwachung der Präsidentschaftswahlen am 31. Mai akkreditiert. Die Zahl umfasst Zeugen, Auditoren sowie Beobachter im In- und Ausland.

Der Direktor für Wahlüberwachung und Inspektion, José Antonio Parra Fandiño, betonte, dass dies eine Rekordzahl sei. „Wir haben eine Rekordzahl erreicht. Es wurden 9.624 Wahlzeugen nominiert und akkreditiert, die die Kontrolle an den Wahltischen außerhalb des kolumbianischen Territoriums ausüben werden“, merkte er an. Von den Akkreditierten sind 9.624 Wahlzeugen im Ausland, 1.167 Systemauditoren und 14.271 Wahlbeobachter, wovon 13.740 national und 531 international tätig sind. Der CNE gab an, dass die Zahl der internationalen Beobachter auf fast eintausend steigen könnte. Die Frist für die Nominierung von Wahlzeugen in Kolumbien läuft am 24. Mai um 23:59 Uhr ab. Der CNE rief die 12 politischen Organisationen dazu auf, die Nominierungen fortzusetzen, um das Ziel von 1,7 Millionen Zeugen an mehr als 120.000 Wahltischen zu erreichen.
