Felicia wins Melodifestivalen with song My system

Pre-favorite Felicia claimed victory in Melodifestivalen 2026 despite a persistent cold and high fever. She won with the entry 'My system' scoring 161 points, ahead of Greczula and Medina. Felicia expressed surprise at the win and described the feeling as unreal.

The Melodifestivalen final took place at Strawberrey Arena in Solna, where Felicia, previously known as Fröken Snusk, emerged as the winner. She has been the favorite since advancing in this year's second semi-final and topped the odds ahead of the final. Despite illness – she reported a fever of nearly 39 degrees and sinus issues – she delivered a grand performance with many dancers and techno and house vibes in the song 'My system', which she co-wrote with Norwegian songwriters Audun Agnar, Julie Bergan, Emily Harbakk, and Danish Theresa Rex.

After the win, Felicia told TT: 'I absolutely didn't think this.' She added: 'I've been in fever, closer to 39 (degrees). It's been very tough with my sinuses. Now I have so much adrenaline that it works, but I'll die later.' To DN, she described the feeling as 'completely unreal, completely incredible, I'm so happy.' Before the decision, she wasn't nervous: 'I felt like I just wanted to take it as it comes, no matter who wins, I'm so glad and so proud to have made it to the final. For the first time in my life!'

Felicia received the last 12 points from the Finnish jury and led before the public vote. The points distribution: 1. Felicia 'My system' 161 points, 2. Greczula 'Half of me' 134 points, 3. Medina 'Viva l’amor' 132 points, followed by Smash Into Pieces, Brandsta City Släckers, Cimberly, A-Teens, Lilla Al-Fadji, Meira Omar, Sanna Nielsen, Robin Bengtsson, and Saga Ludvigsson.

Sami Rekik from Medina commented: 'We always want to compete for the top spots, but to be honest – I voted for us as fifth ourselves, so I'll take a third any day. We're so happy for Felicia's sake, she deserves it, she's so talented. You can tell this song is adapted for Europe too.' Felicia has previously said the song is not typical for Melodifestivalen and may perform better outside Sweden. She has also stated that Israel should not participate in Eurovision.
