Rechtsfakultät verurteilt Gewalt nach Protesten gegen Abgeordnete Rodríguez

Die Rechtswissenschaftliche Fakultät der Universität von Chile verurteilte die Vorfälle, die sich am Freitag, dem 29. Mai, während einer Veranstaltung mit der Abgeordneten Javiera Rodríguez ereigneten.

Die republikanische Parlamentarierin berichtete, dass sie am Ende der Veranstaltung mit dem Titel „Experiencias Universitarias: Una Mirada del Liderazgo de Derecha“ von einer Gruppe Studierender angeschrien, geschubst und bespuckt wurde.

Die Fakultät teilte mit, dass der Raum auf Antrag eines studentischen Senators zur Verfügung gestellt wurde und die Sicherheit von Rodríguez bei ihrer Ankunft, während ihres Vortrags und bei ihrem Verlassen des Geländes gewährleistet war. Die Veranstaltung dauerte etwa eineinhalb Stunden.

In einer von Fakultätsdirektor Miguel González Lemus unterzeichneten Erklärung lehnte die akademische Einrichtung „Gewalt und Gewalthandlungen als Mittel politischer Auseinandersetzung“ kategorisch ab. Zudem wurde angekündigt, dass unangemessenes Verhalten untersucht werde.

Rodríguez hatte zuvor Morddrohungen bei der Cyberkriminalitäts-Abteilung der Kriminalpolizei gemeldet.
