NPA legt Berufung gegen Anordnungen des Amtsgerichts Kwaggafontein ein

Die National Prosecuting Authority in Mpumalanga hat einen Antrag auf Berufung gegen die Anordnungen wegen Missachtung des Gerichts und den Haftbefehl gegen den Staatsanwalt Mkhuseli Ntaba gestellt.

Dieser Schritt folgt auf Ntabas Nichterscheinen vor Gericht, wo er eigentlich einer Kautionsanhörung in einem Fall von Erpressung und Geldwäsche gegen den Geschäftsmann und Taxibetreiber Joe Sibanyoni sowie drei Mitbeschuldigte hätte widersprechen sollen.

Der National Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Andy Mothibi, hat ein von einem Senior Counsel geleitetes Rechtsteam damit beauftragt, über die nächsten Schritte zu beraten, nachdem die Angelegenheit vom Gericht abgewiesen wurde.

NPA-Sprecher Kaizer Kganyago erklärte, dass die Berufung die Anordnungen aussetzt, bis über den Antrag entschieden wurde, und dass schriftliche Begründungen des Amtsrichters angefordert wurden, um das weitere Verfahren zu stützen.
