Red Bull bereut seit Langem, Oscar Piastri nicht verpflichtet zu haben

Der ehemalige Formel-1-Moderator Will Buxton sagt, dass Red Bull es seit Jahren bereut, Oscar Piastri nicht als Juniorfahrer unter Vertrag genommen zu haben. Das Team hat den McLaren-Fahrer nun als potenziellen Nachfolger für Max Verstappen im Visier.

Will Buxton teilte seine Ansichten im Podcast „Up To Speed“. Er merkte an, dass Red Bull öffentlich den Wunsch geäußert hat, Piastri früher verpflichtet zu haben, um zu verhindern, dass er der Alpine Academy beitritt, bevor McLaren ihn sich sicherte. Buxton fügte hinzu, dass der Rennstall aus Milton Keynes weiß, dass er die Gelegenheit mit dem jungen Australier verpasst hat.
