Der Bundessenat hat am Mittwoch die Ernennung von STJ-Minister Benedito Gonçalves zum nationalen Justizinspektor am CNJ bestätigt. Die Abstimmung endete mit 53 Ja- und 16 Nein-Stimmen.

Der CNJ besteht aus 15 Mitgliedern mit einer zweijährigen Amtszeit, wobei ein Sitz für den STJ reserviert ist, um als Inspektor Beschwerden gegen Richter entgegenzunehmen. Der Minister ist seit 1988 im Justizwesen tätig und seit 2008 am STJ; von 2019 bis 2023 war er Mitglied des TSE.
