La Asociación Nacional de Agentes Inmobiliarios informó sobre este incremento, que se produjo tras una subida del 0,7 por ciento en abril. El precio medio de una vivienda existente alcanzó los 429.300 dólares en mayo. Esto marcó el cuarto aumento mensual consecutivo y el nivel más alto desde el pasado junio. El tipo de interés hipotecario fijo a 30 años se situó en el 6,44 por ciento en mayo, según Freddie Mac. Esa tasa fue la más alta desde el pasado agosto.
