Microsoft sube los precios de Xbox ante la escasez de memoria

Microsoft ha anunciado una subida de precios para sus consolas Xbox Series X y S a partir del 1 de agosto. Esta medida supone el tercer incremento desde mayo de 2025 y se debe al aumento de los costes de almacenamiento y memoria.

Los nuevos precios se aplicarán a nivel mundial. En Estados Unidos, la Xbox Series S de 512 GB costará 500 dólares y el modelo de 1 TB costará 600 dólares. La edición digital de la Xbox Series X de 1 TB se venderá por 750 dólares, mientras que la versión con lector de discos costará 800 dólares. Microsoft dejará de fabricar el modelo de 2 TB de la Xbox Series X.

Xbox indicó en una publicación de blog que los precios del almacenamiento y la memoria de las consolas se han multiplicado por más de 2,5. La empresa añadió que espera que se dupliquen de nuevo para el otoño de 2027. Para mitigar el impacto, ha introducido opciones de pago aplazado y financiación sin intereses.

Los cambios de precio se producen tras los anteriores incrementos de mayo de 2025 y octubre de 2025. Sony, Nintendo y Valve han realizado ajustes similares en sus dispositivos de juego.
