GameStop va supprimer les points de son abonnement Pro

GameStop retirera le système de points de son programme d'abonnement Pro à partir de cet été. Ce changement intervient alors que l'enseigne continue de fermer des magasins et de réduire ses coûts.

Une note interne envoyée aux employés des magasins cette semaine indique que l'accumulation de points Pro prendra fin pour les nouveaux membres à partir du 15 juillet 2026. Les membres actuels qui renouvellent leur adhésion avant cette date pourront continuer à accumuler des points jusqu'au 15 août 2026, après quoi tous les points restants expireront.

L'abonnement coûtera toujours 25 $ par an. Il ne comprend plus d'abonnement au magazine Game Informer. Les employés ont exprimé leurs inquiétudes quant à la poursuite de la promotion du programme malgré la réduction des avantages.

Un utilisateur de Reddit a écrit que les clients étaient déjà frustrés par les problèmes liés à l'utilisation des points et a prédit une réaction négative accrue. GameStop n'a pas répondu à une demande de commentaire.
