La Cour suprême d'Argentine a déclaré valide la loi élargissant la cour supérieure de Santa Cruz à neuf membres. Cette décision soutient les nominations promues par le gouverneur Claudio Vidal.

La Cour suprême d'Argentine, avec les votes de Horacio Rosatti, Carlos Rosenkrantz et Ricardo Lorenzetti, a ordonné à la cour supérieure de Santa Cruz de s'intégrer immédiatement avec neuf juges. Cette mesure fait suite à l'approbation de la loi 3949 par la législature provinciale en août dernier.

Le gouverneur Claudio Vidal avait envoyé quatre listes restreintes ayant mené aux nominations de Sergio Acevedo, José Antonio González Nora, Juan Lucio Ramón de la Vega et Gabriel Nolasco Contreras Agüero. Ces magistrats avaient déjà pris leurs fonctions après avoir prêté serment devant Daniel Mariani.

Quatre juges provinciaux avaient auparavant annulé les nouveaux postes à la suite d'une action intentée par l'Association du syndicat des employés judiciaires. La Cour suprême a accepté le recours des personnes nommées et a rétabli la pleine validité de la loi.
