Xbox nomme ses nouveaux directeurs de la stratégie et de la technologie dans le cadre de ses récents changements de direction

La division Xbox de Microsoft a recruté Matthew Ball au poste de directeur de la stratégie et Scott Van Vliet à celui de directeur de la technologie, poursuivant ainsi les ajustements au sein de l'équipe de direction sous la houlette de la responsable du gaming, Asha Sharma.

Ces nominations s'inscrivent dans la continuité des changements de direction chez Xbox suite à la restructuration majeure annoncée plus tôt ce mois-ci. Matthew Ball occupait auparavant le poste de responsable de la stratégie chez Amazon Studios et exerce en tant que capital-risqueur. Il a écrit sur le métavers et a souligné, dans son rapport « State of Video Gaming », que les jeux vidéo rivalisent pour capter l'attention face à des plateformes telles que TikTok, la cryptomonnaie, les applications d'IA et OnlyFans. Son objectif initial sera de renforcer l'activité des consoles dans un contexte de hausse des coûts des composants. Scott Van Vliet rejoint quant à lui l'entreprise en tant que directeur de la technologie.
