中国本土当局は、香港の自家用車が広東省へ乗り入れることを許可するスキームを5年間延長しました。

広東省政府は土曜日に発表した通知の中で、「香港車両の北上乗り入れスキーム(Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles)」を5年間延長し、2031年6月1日までとすることを明らかにしました。本スキームは、当初3年間の期限で2023年6月1日に施行されていました。本スキームの下では、条件を満たす香港の自家用車所有者は、中国本土のナンバープレートや二重ライセンスを取得することなく、港珠澳大橋(香港・珠海・マカオ大橋)を経由して広東省へ運転していくことが可能です。ドライバーは、1回の渡航につき最長30日間連続で、年間合計で最大180日間まで広東省に滞在できます。本スキームにおいて、出入国が許可されている地点は現在も港珠澳大橋のみです。通知には、運用の過程で生じた問題については広東省公安庁に報告するよう記載されています。
