Steamは、日本のホラービジュアルノベル『This Game Is Not Real』のプラットフォームへの掲載を拒否した。開発元のVivは、本作がValveの配信基準を満たせなかったことを受け、今回の決定を発表した。同作は2025年8月にストアページが開設されて以来、2万4000件のウィッシュリスト登録を集めていた。

本作を手掛けるインディーチームVivは5月13日、リリース計画をDLsiteおよびBOOTHへ移行すると発表した。開発者のBibu氏は、今回の決定は同プロジェクトがSteamのプラットフォーム基準を満たしていないという判断を受けたものだと説明した。本作は当初、今月中にSteamでリリースされる予定だった。
