행사에서는 전쟁 공로를 인정받지 못한 세 명의 참전용사에게 국가유공자 포상이 수여됐다. 1950-53년 한국전쟁은 1953년 정전협정으로 끝났으나 한반도는 기술적으로 여전히 전쟁 상태에 있다.
