이재명 대통령이 7월 24일 샌프란시스코에서 엔비디아 CEO 젠슨 황을 만나 대규모 협력 계획을 논의했다. 황 CEO는 SK그룹과의 5000억 달러 규모 파트너십을 비롯한 여러 프로젝트를 공개했다.
이 회담은 이 대통령의 이틀간 샌프란시스코 방문 첫날에 열렸다. 방문 목적은 인공지능 투자와 글로벌 기술 기업, 한국 대기업 간 협력을 촉진하는 것이었다.
황 CEO는 삼성전자, SK하이닉스와 칩 설계 및 메모리 설계 파트너십을 체결할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 또한 현대자동차그룹과 자율주행 제네시스 세단을 공동 개발하고, 네이버에 대규모 투자를 진행할 예정이라고 말했다.
추가로 황 CEO는 한국과학기술원과 협력해 '코리아 AI'를 구축하고, 한국을 위한 대형 언어 모델을 개발할 것이라고 전했다. 이 계획들은 모두 AI 관련 회의에서 발표될 예정이다.
