한국 외교부에 따르면 한국-아프리카 외교장관회의는 '글로벌 도전에 대한 공동 대응을 위한 파트너십'을 주제로 열렸다. 참석자들은 2024년 한국-아프리카 정상회의 성과를 바탕으로 무역, 투자, 기반시설, 핵심광물 공급망 분야에서 상호 이익이 되는 협력을 다짐했다.
공동성명은 아프리카 대륙자유무역지대(AfCFTA) 지원과 한국의 ODA 확대, 기후변화 대응, 보건 협력, 평화·안보 증진을 포함한 여러 분야를 다루었다. 양측은 또한 '제2차 한국-아프리카 핵심광물 대화' 개최를 위한 협의를 계속하기로 했다.
참석자들은 2029년 한국-아프리카 정상회의 개최를 환영했으며, 9월에 열릴 제8차 한-아프리카 경제협력 장관회의(KOAFEC)를 통해 협력을 이어가기로 했다. 가나 외교장관은 한국이 에볼라 사태에도 회의를 진행한 점을 높이 평가했다.
