한국거래소는 오전 11시 13분께 코스피200 선물 지수가 5% 이상 하락하자 5분간 프로그램 매매를 중단하는 사이드카를 발동했다. 이후 지수가 8% 이상 떨어지자 오후 12시 10분에 서킷브레이커를 발동해 20분간 거래를 중단했다.
외국인과 기관이 각각 4.6조 원과 3.8조 원어치를 순매도한 반면 개인은 8.2조 원을 순매수했다. 삼성전자는 5.3% 하락한 33만 9,500원에, SK하이닉스는 8.36% 떨어진 267만 원에 거래를 마쳤다.
기웅증권 한지영 애널리스트는 "메모리 칩 가격 상승이 최종 제품 가격을 끌어올려 수요를 위축시키고 대규모 AI 투자를 저해할 수 있다는 우려가 있다"고 말했다. 원/달러 환율은 1,532원으로 10.7원 하락했다.
