Espanha investe 431 milhões de euros em IA e Gigafábrica europeia

O Conselho de Ministros aprovou hoje investimentos de 431 milhões de euros em projetos de inteligência artificial, incluindo 300 milhões para concorrer a uma Gigafábrica europeia.

O ministro Óscar López anunciou a contribuição de 300 milhões de euros para a Empresa Comum Europeia de Computação de Alto Desempenho (EuroHPC). Esse montante soma-se aos 719 milhões aprovados na semana passada para formar o consórcio público-privado.

O consórcio inclui a ACS, Telefónica, Banco Santander e Multiverse Computing, com a Sociedad Española para la Transformación Tecnológica (SETT) detendo 48 por cento. O projeto prevê centros em Móra la Nova (Tarragona) e San Fernando de Henares (Madrid).

Além disso, 107 milhões foram destinados à Multiverse Computing e 24,5 milhões à Attypics Photonics. López expressou otimismo quanto à candidatura espanhola junto à Comissão Europeia.
