Das CDU-Präsidium hat seine geplante Klausur in Magdeburg abgesagt. Ministerpräsident Schulze setzte die Absage durch, obwohl das Treffen den Wahlkampf unterstützen sollte.

Ursprünglich sollte das Treffen der Parteispitze in Magdeburg dem CDU-Wahlkampf in Sachsen-Anhalt zusätzlichen Schwung geben. Stattdessen erfolgte nun die Absage auf Betreiben von Ministerpräsident Schulze.

Dennoch kündigte die Partei an, dass der Kanzler Schulze im Wahlkampf unterstützen werde. Die Entscheidung wurde am 5. Juni 2026 bekannt.

Die Klausur war als zentrales Element der Kampagne vorgesehen.
