Am 30. Juni 2026 gab der Verfassungsschutz bekannt, dass 28.000 AfD-Mitglieder als Rechtsextremisten eingestuft werden.
Die Behörde ordnet damit fast 40 Prozent der Parteimitglieder dem rechtsextremistischen Personenpotential zu.
Zugleich verzeichnet sie eine massive Zunahme linksextremer Straftaten.
