Regierung investiert 11,5 Milliarden KES in die Stabilisierung der Kraftstoffpreise trotz geringer Nachfrage nach Kerosin

Am 14. Mai erhöhte die Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) den Dieselpreis in Nairobi um 46,29 KES auf 242,92 KES pro Liter und den Benzinpreis um 16,65 KES auf 214,25 KES. Der Preis für Kerosin blieb bei 152,78 KES.

Energieminister Opiyo Wandayi erklärte, die Regierung habe 5 Milliarden KES aus der Petroleum Development Levy verwendet, um die Preisanstiege zu begrenzen.
