Un agente de inteligencia artificial llamado Manfred se ha convertido en el primero en establecer de forma autónoma su propia corporación tras obtener un Número de Identificación de Empleador del Servicio de Impuestos Internos (IRS) de Estados Unidos. El avance fue anunciado por ClawBank, el proyecto detrás del agente, que también confirmó que Manfred posee una cuenta bancaria asegurada por la FDIC y una billetera de criptomonedas.

Justice Conder, el desarrollador detrás de ClawBank, afirmó que Manfred inició y completó el proceso de formación legal sin intervención humana. "Según el conocimiento de la empresa, esta es la primera vez que un agente de IA inicia y completa de manera autónoma la formación legal de su propia corporación", señaló Conder en un comunicado enviado por correo electrónico. El agente opera bajo el nombre de Manfred Macx en la plataforma de redes sociales X, utilizando una imagen de perfil del personaje ficticio Max Headroom, de la serie de televisión de 1985.
